ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD

The snow’s falling softly here this Christmas night

While in another place stars are shining bright

I don’t know what it was like the night you came

But I know the world has never been the same

CHORUS:

The sweet peace of that sleeping child you’d impart

One day to every willing human heart

You made all the difference in the world

That small baby in the manger laying curled

Were the tired animals standing around

Startled by the birth cry, that first infant sound

I don’t know what it was like the night you came

But I know the world has never been the same

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Were Mary and Joseph both happy and awed

To know in their arms they held the Son of God

I don’t know what it was like the night you came

But I know the world has never been the same

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Did the poor shepherds’ hearts within their chests leap

When the angels sang praise while they tended sheep

I don’t know what it was like the night you came

But I know the world has never been the same

CHORUS: (Repeat)

TAG:

You made all the difference in my world

THE ANSWER IS JESUS

Do you have an emptiness that nothing can fill?

Though you have searched and searched, are you hungering still?

Are you struggling, trying the world’s suggestions?

At the end are you left with nothing but questions?

CHORUS:

Whatever the question, the answer is Jesus.

Nothing this world offers, like Him will please us.

He alone can fill the emptiness inside.

To give you His peace is why he suffered and died

Have you ever wondered how to get through a mess

When what you should do next was anybody’s guess?

Do you often find yourself feeling lonely and blue?

Have you felt so empty you don’t know what to do?

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Have you ever felt like there is no place to turn

When your each cry for help, friends and family spurn?

Have you ever felt there’s no meaning to your life

And wondered if there would be an end to your strife?

CHORUS: (Repeat)

TAG:

Whatever the question, the answer is Jesus.

THE BEST ROOM

Everybody is coming home for Christmas!

The time for their arrival’s drawing very near.

Our big house will be filled up to its old rafters.

We are going to have a joyous time this year.

CHORUS:

But we are still going to have room for Jesus

Because it’s at this time we celebrate His birth.

We’ve given Him the best room–the one in our hearts

So we can clearly show the world His matchless worth.

Everybody is coming home for Christmas

And there still are a million things yet to be done–

Baking, decorating, shopping, the turkey too!

Everyone is going to have lots of fun.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Everybody is coming home for Christmas!

We’ve made sure we’ve not forgotten anyone.

As we plan all our holiday celebrations

We’ll remember to give our best room to God’s son.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

TAG:

Please make sure you are saving Jesus the best room–

the one in your heart.

BLESSED BEYOND BELIEF

CHORUS:

I’m BLESSED BEYOND BELIEF, my soul has found relief

My life is no longer filled with yearning and grief

I no longer desire things my heart once sought

I now rest in the assurance that I’m blood bought

Though I searched and searched I found no joy anywhere

Though I had much, my life still felt empty and bare

For nothing was able to give me peace within

Til I knelt at an altar and confessed my sin

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Now my washed redeemed heart overflows with such joy

I want to tell every man, woman, girl and boy

There’s only one way to real joy and peace within

Accept the Lord as Saviour and be born again

CHORUS: (Repeat)

TAG:

Blessed beyond belief, my soul has found relief

I’m blessed, I’m blessed, I’m blessed beyond belief

A CHRISTMAS PRESENT

I remember how when I was just a child

That my eyes shone with joy ev’ry Christmas morn

When I’d open special toys from Mom and Dad–

That months later would lay in my room forlorn.

CHORUS:

There’s a Christmas present I’ll never forget

And it is one I ‘ll never outgrow.

It will always be the most precious to me–

One given two thousand years ago.

I remember how when I became a teen

There was a leather jacket I had to own

And Dad made sure there was one under the tree–

A coat that was many years ago outgrown.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

I remember how when I was a newlywed

A little velvet box was under the tree

With the ring my loved one knew I desired–

The ring that, with age, will no longer fit me.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

BRIDGE:

Everything I ever needed I got

For Christmas two thousand years ago

When infant Jesus was born in a manger

To grow to a man and one day save my soul.

Everything I ever needed I got

For Christmas when Jesus was born.

CRYING FOR QUAIL

Spared from the bitter sorrow of Egypt’s plagues,

Delivered by God from bondage on foreign soil.

Allowed to cross the Red Sea on dry land,

God provided for Israel in the wilderness.

CHORUS 1:

God Gave them so much they did not deserve,

But daily they grumbled, always wanting more.

Ungrateful, they began crying for quail

As heavenly manna fell from above.

Lead through wilderness by a cloud sent from God,

Their thirst quenched as Moses called forth water from rock,

Given God’s own laws on tablets of stone,

They bowed to a golden calf made by their own hands.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Israel was witness to God’s mighty pow’r

But they could not be content and did not trust Him.

They overlooked God’s blessings from above

And were denied the long desired Promised Land.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

CHORUS 2:

God gives us so much we do not deserve

We must remember ev’ry day to give thanks

And not be caught always CRYING FOR QUAIL

As heavenly manna falls from above.

DEAD TO THE WORLD

The world tells us to look out for number one

And if it feels good do it just please yourself

The last man standing is the one who has won

The winner is the one who has the most wealth

CHORUS:

Lord make me dead to the world and its allure

Let my heart’s desire be only for You

I want to please You my Lord and nothing more

Let me not be found wanting but always true

Though Satan may try ev’ry trick in his book

Lord help me to stand fast honouring just You

Help me to only for Your approval look

And to willingly do what You call me to

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Jesus if You’re not God of all of my life

Then Jesus You’re not God of my life at all

I’ll not buy into the world’s lies and its strife

You’ve spoken to me and I’ll answer Your call

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Let my heart’s desire be only for You

FREE AS A BIRD ON THE WING

Like a helpless bird caught in evil’s snare

I once was hopelessly snarled in my sin

Then snatched from the cruel teeth of Satan’s lair

When my Jesus gave me new life in Him

CHORUS:

Like a scared quail loosed from the fowler’s snare

I’m free, as free as a bird on the wing

Released by loving nail-scared hands that care

Forever my Lord’s praises I will sing

For me the snare’s been forever broken

I’m a captive of that trap no longer

Since I’ve heard the precious gospel spoken

I’ve put my faith in something much stronger

CHORUS: (Repeat)

I praise Him from valley or mountain peak

For it’s the Lord who bears me up each day

Despite havoc Satan may try to wreak

My spirit freely soars above the fray

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Praise the Lord, I’m free, as free as a bird on the wing

GOD GAVE THE GIFT

Lost in busyness of the season

We can forget there is a reason.

Rushing to buy just the right thing,

We forget it’s the birthday of our king.

CHORUS:

God gave the gift that keeps on giving.

Because I believe I’ll go on living

Forever in my home in glory--

That’s the good news of the Christmas story!

Caught in the hectic pace of the time

Jesus gets pushed out of our mind.

We forget the child came to be king,

Freedom from sin, salvation to bring.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

We have a God who loves us so dearly.

Let us show all mankind clearly

We’re honouring the birth of the king--

To God in heaven let our praises ring!

CHORUS: (Repeat)

GOD OF EVERYTHING YOU DO

When you spoke those words you knew would hurt,

Did you listen to God’s voice today?

Was His will more important than your own

Or did you make sure things went your way?

CHORUS:

You can’t just serve God in the big things

And not serve in the small things too.

He isn’t God of this, (Mute:) but not that

He’s God of everything you do.

Did you think it was OK as long

As no one saw that thing you did?

God knows each thought, everything you do.

Not one thing we do from Him is hid.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Let God be God of all you do.

Let go of little sins you withhold.

If you will surrender all to Him.

A brand new life He will help you mold

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Is He is God of everything you do?

THE GOD OF SECOND CHANCES

So you have stumbled and you have fallen again.

You don’t know how you can get up and carry on

Or face God or even yourself in the mirror

And you’re feeling like your very last hope is gone.

CHORUS:

Remember we serve the God of second chances.

He’s willing to forgive you time and time again.

His forgiveness is as infinite as His love–

Love powerful enough to wash away sin’s stain.

So you have stumbled and you have fallen again

And right now you are feeling very far from God

And you’re wondering how you can pick yourself up

When you just want to burry your head in the sod.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Just stay down on you knees and call out to Jesus

Our gracious, loving Father will meet you there.

Please know that we are never closer to our Lord

Than when we are broken, down on our knees in prayer.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

GOD SENDS REAL FIRE

Because Ahab the king of Israel had strayed

Jezebel killed the prophets of the Lord

The true God for worship of Baal had been betrayed

Elijah hid fearing he’d too feel the king’s sword

CHORUS:

There’s no need to worry, there is no need to fret

When your situation seems hopeless and dire

Brothers and sisters have faith and never forget

When the devil turns up the heat, God sends real fire

Then a contest to show who was God was announced

Calling fire Baal’s men failed ‘cause of misplaced trust

Elijah’s altar soaked thrice, the Baal guys were trounced

When God sent fire burning sacrifice, stones and dust

CHORUS: (Repeat)

You may face trials you think there’s no way around

If you’re faithful to God, He’ll be true to you

Remember He burned an altar that had been drowned

No matter what, He’ll send His fire to see you through

CHORUS: (Repeat)

GOD’S HAND WAS IN IT

When told she would conceive the son of God

To whose kingdom there’d never be an end,

Though at first very frightened and confused,

The young Mary to God’s will did bend.

CHORUS:

This was to be a very special birth.

God’s hand was in it, reaching down to man.

The baby had God’s providential care

So He’d grow to fulfil salvation’s plan

Joseph was pondering what He should do,

And would have quietly turned Mary out,

Until God sent an angel in a dream

To explain things, dispelling any doubt.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Later, the wise men were warned in a dream,

"Don’t tell the child’s location to the king."

As Herod said, "Death for males under two!",

God warned Joseph, "To Egypt be fleeing."

CHORUS: (Repeat)

His birth foretold, heralded by angels,

This wasn’t any ordinary child.

God’s hand set in motion divine events

When Christ came to earth as a baby mild.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

God’s hand was in it, reaching down to man.

GOING TO LIVE FOREVER

Some think man is a temp’ral thing–

That there’s no life after this one.

He struts his hour upon the stage

Then it’s all over and done.

CHORUS:

Well, we’re all going to live forever.

You know it’s just a question of where.

(MUTE:) Will you do the hot-foot two-step in hell

Or be praising God in Hallelujah Square?

Some are confused by the afterlife.

They fear they’ll be back as a bug...

Claim they’ve been a dead Pharaoh’s wife...

Hope they’ll pass into a higher state.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

You can deny God all you want.

You can buy into some soft sell

But it will never change the fact

There is a heaven and a hell.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

TAG:

Oh, I hope you’ll be praising

the Lord in Hallelujah Square.

HEARTS WOULD BREAK

So undeserving was I of God’s love

Yet he sent his only son from above

To die on the cruel cross at Calvary

His blood shed to cleanse and make me free

CHORUS:

He did not do this for His own glory

But so when hearing the gospel story

Hearts would break and knees would humbly bow

And people would come to the Saviour now

Pain for my every sin was on His face

Who else would hang on a cross in my place

To suffer as my Saviour did for me

So from sin I’d be forever free

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Between two thieves they hung my Lord to die

In agony he watched his mother cry

But over death and sin victory he’d win

For on the third day He would rise again

CHORUS: (Repeat)

TAG:

Please won’t you come to the Saviour now

HE’S SO MUCH MORE!

On the holiday mantle, a nativity set stands–

A stable with some shepherds and angels–

At its centre Christ, tended by loving hands.

But He’s more than a figure in a manger.

CHORUS:

He’s so much more than a baby in a Christmas story.

He’s Jehovah, God Almighty, Messiah, the Saviour.

He is the King who left His throne in glory

And came so our souls might be saved.

In the daily mail, a lovely Christmas card is sent,

On it an image of baby Jesus

Reproduced and embossed from some old print.

But He’s more than a baby on a Christmas card.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

On the radio, joyous Christmas carols we hear,

Telling the story of the Saviour’s birth.

We’ll sing our favourites again this year.

But He’s more than the subject of a Christmas song.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

He’s so much more than a baby in a Christmas story.

He’s Jehovah, God Almighty, Messiah, the Saviour.

HIS PRICE

They’d waited very long for Jesus to set them free

But Judas just could not be patient any more

And in secrecy he went to the powers that be

Thirty pieces of silver would roll across the floor

CHORUS:

Every man has his price it has often been told

But hallelujah Lord Jesus has paid mine for me

And it was not paid with this old world’s silver or gold

But by the blood Jesus shed for me at Calvary

Judas could not understand what Jesus came to do

He didn’t know his plot would help bring about sin’s cure

Because the eternal plan no earthly person knew

And thirty pieces of silver rolled across the floor

CHORUS : (Repeat)

For an iron ruler so long his people had sought

But in zeal, Judas overlooked the loving Saviour

Into this world’s twisted way of thinking he bought

And thirty pieces of silver rolled across the floor

CHORUS: (Repeat)

HIS STORY CHANGED MY HISTORY

For years I’d heard the stories of Jesus

For years I fought the urge to come to Him

Still I continued to wander aimless

Til one day I surrendered all to Him

CHORUS:

That day HIS STORY CHANGED MY HISTORY

And now my sinful past is forgiven

It’s been blotted out from His memory

And I am free to live as one redeemed

My future history was changed as well

For now each day I am living for Him

When I die I’ll go to heaven to dwell

For His story became my history

HOSANNA TURNED TO CRUCIFY

Not as a conquer on a king’s mighty charger,

But riding on a colt, Christ entered Jerusalem.

They carpeted His way with garments and branches

As hosannas to the highest rang out to Him.

CHORUS:

Adoring when they thought He’d give them their desires,

Just a few days later they’d sentence Him to die.

A crowd, willing to worship Christ only on their terms,

When angered, their shout, "Hosanna!" turned to "Crucify."

When Christ was arrested and delivered to Pilate,

They chose to spare the murderer Barabas instead.

After being offered chances to free Jesus,

Blame for His death was now on their head.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

We think the crowd fickle to adore, then turn their backs

But are we really so very different from them?

Do we cry our loud hosannas on the Sabbath day

Then live, not crucifying self, but Him?

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Does our shout "Hosanna!" turn to "crucify"?

I AM RESPONSIBLE

Lord, many times I have kneeled down before You

Asking forgiveness of my sin

But now Lord I kneel before You

Asking forgiveness for the pain I put You through

On that day You died for me

Lord forgive my part in Your sufferin’

CHORUS:

For I AM RESPONSIBLE

For every tear You shed

I am responsible

For each drop of blood You bled

I am responsible

For cruel thorns gouging your head

I am responsible

Yet You gave forgiveness instead

I can’t blame others be they Roman or Jew

This bloody shame is mine to own

I’m the one who crucified You

But there was forgiveness in the last breath You drew

On that day You died for me

So I’d not have to face judgement alone

I BELIEVE

Joseph was shocked, betrayed by the one chosen for his wife

Her belly grew large. He knew if he spoke, they’d take her life

God sent to Joseph an angel so His will would be heard

Hands held no stones because Joseph spoke no condemning word

CHORUS I:

I BELIEVE the Baby’s my Messiah, God’s only Son

I believe she carries the long-awaited Chosen One

The ways of God are higher than the mind can comprehend

But I trust God completely and to His will I’ll bend

The Holy Child did not come to dwell among the highest

Lowly shepherds by an angel with the good news were blest

The men went though adoration was all they had to give

To the One who came so that they might in God’s freedom live

CHORUS II:

I BELIEVE the Baby’s my Messiah, God’s only Son

I believe she carried the long-awaited Chosen One

The ways of God are greater than the mind can comprehend

But I trust God completely and to His will I’ll bend

From the highest to the lowest, He also came for me

His love reaching from stable to cross, down through centuries

My heart rejoices God came a Babe in a stable stall

To give love so divine I can not understand it all

CHORUS II: (Repeat)

I GAVE YOU MY WORD

There’s so much about this life that I don’t understand

I don’t know where I should turn or what I should believe

From his bedside one night prayed a lost, tormented man

As his tears freely coursed down to be wiped on his sleeve

CHORUS:

My dear child have you forgotten I gave you my word

The answers you seek can be found within its pages

As you read it will be My voice that you have heard

It’s My leading and comfort for you through the ages

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Oh my Lord God, I truly want to be more like you

Called out a woman earnestly from her bended knees

I have tried but I don’t know what You want me to do

I am begging You my dear Lord can’t You tell me please

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Lord in this trial I find no comfort anywhere

My poor heart is aching and I am at my wits’ end

Cried out an exhausted Christian to his Lord in prayer

Please can’t You ease this burden and my peace of mind mend

CHORUS: (Repeat)

I KNOW

I know when I decided to follow Jesus

There was no faltering, there was no turning back

There were no half measures, I’d give Him my all

With Him I’d finally gotten my life on track

CHORUS:

I do not just believe, I know there’s one God

There’s not the tiniest doubt in my mind

For daily I have seen Him at work in my life

Everywhere I look proof of Him I find

I know He sent His son, precious Lord Jesus

To be crucified and resurrected for me

I know when I submitted, confessed my sins

From hell I was saved to live eternally

CHORUS: (Repeat)

I know He is like water to a thirsty man

Only He can quench that need you’re feeling inside

He alone can take away all your guilt and shame

I REFUSE TO BELIEVE

Another storm has come up and we’re lashed by wind and rain

Those around me are crying out wondering if You’re there

I know by myself I cannot bear the fear and pain

And I’m clinging to the knowledge that You care

CHORUS:

Though storms may blow and my world comes crashing down around me

I refuse to believe You don’t love me and hear my pleas

Because I know You’re there Lord holding out Your hand to me

In my darkest hours it’s prayer that brings me to my knees

That devil Satan has sent another tempest my way

In a sneaky attempt to hinder my walk Lord with You

Seems there’s no break he sends something different ev’ry day

Trying to cut the ties we have in two

CHORUS: (Repeat)

I believe the clouds will lift and the sun will shine again

You’ll gently bear me up until these vicious storms are past

God Almighty You’re my strength that will never wane

Praise You Lord, to You I’ll hold fast

Drawing me ever closer to Your side

‘Til Your child at last I came to be.

I’LL NEVER THINK OF THIS WORLD AGAIN!

I’m longing for a place I’ve never seen,

A wondrous place I can but imagine

Where angels bow down to worship God–

A city where there will be no more sin.

CHORUS:

There I’ll never think of this world again!

All of it’s worries will be lost to me

And worship my King for eternity.

I’ve been promised a crown and a mansion

But all I want’s to sit at Jesus’ feet.

The sound of his voice will never grow old.

IT HAS TO HAPPEN TO YOU

God’s word preached, the altar call given.

As some people kneel at the altar,

You think to yourself, how nice for them.

CHORUS:

It’s not just for everyone else.

You know, it has to happen to you.

It is time to heed that still, small voice.

Right now, the Saviour is calling you.

The minister is speaking to you

Saying, "Come today. The time is now.

You might never get another chance.

Come forward and at the altar bow."

IT’S NOT THE SINGER

For years she worked doing whatever the church would ask

Each day praying for a calling, an anointed task

Then one day her poetry turned into gospel song

It was like finally coming home where you belong.

CHORUS:

It’s not the singer, it’s the song she wants you to hear

For each song written contains God’s Word so dear

It’s the message about God’s amazing grace

That tells His plan of salvation for the human race

Some folks were blessed by the truth contained within her song

Did everything they could to encourage her along

Some for reasons of their own that only our Lord knew

Said you shouldn’t sing unless your voice is pure and true

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Undaunted she keeps spreading the gospel through her word

Because she knows it’s vital that every ear has heard

That Jesus God’s Son was crucified and died for them

To save all from sin and give eternal life with Him

JESUS ONLY STOOPED DOWN

Jesus was teaching at the temple

When they brought the adulteress

To be stoned. Hoping to trap

Him they asked, "Lord what do you say?"

CHORUS:

But then Jesus only stooped down,

As though He was hearing them not,

With His finger, He wrote on the ground

Writing conviction on their hearts.

They continued talking to Him

Standing up Jesus said to them,

"He that’s without sin among you,

Let him cast the first stone."

CHORUS: (Repeat)

When Jesus stood, they all were gone.

"Woman, where are your accusers?

Has no man condemned you?" He asked.

She answered, "No, no man, my Lord."

CHORUS: (Repeat, beginning as Because Jesus...)

JESUS WAS BORN IN BETHLEHEM

Many, many years ago a manger cradled a child,

On a night when God looked with favour on mankind and smiled.

(Spoken:) "For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour which is Christ the Lord."

CHORUS 1:

Jesus was born in Bethlehem so we could be born again.

He came to this world as a little baby to save our souls.

All we have to do is confess our sins and believe in Him.

Our sins will be washed away by his blood and we’ll be made whole.

Many years ago, I realized I was lost in my sin.

I turned to Jesus, and over Satan, victory did win.

(Spoken:) "Jesus...said....,"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

CHORUS 2:

Jesus was born in Bethlehem so I could be born again.

He came to this world as a little baby to save my soul.

All I had to do was confess my sins and believe in Him.

Then my sins ware washed away by his blood and I was made whole.

The little child born upon that night was also born for you.

He is waiting now to forgive you and give you life anew.

(Spoken:) "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

CHORUS 3:

Jesus was born in Bethlehem SO you could be born again.

He came to this world as a little baby to save your soul.

All you have to do is confess your sins and believe in Him.

Your sins will be washed away by his blood and you’ll be made whole.

JOY, JOY, JOY!

All heaven was getting ready

The fateful time was near

With joy they were almost giddy

They had news for all earth to hear

CHORUS:

Joy, joy, joy, it’s a baby Boy

Sing, sing, sing hallelujah to the King

Love, love, love God’s gift from above

Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice lift up your voice

God prepared a cloudless night sky

Hung the brightest star ever seen

The time for His Son’s birth has nigh

In an old stable so serene

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Some startled shepherds in a field

Off to tell others they all ran

And before their Saviour they kneeled

JUST ONE MORE TIME

Just a frail man in a nursing home bed

Once a man of God who stood firm and true

He’d whisper to each nurse who came his way

I want to kneel to pray before I’m through

CHORUS:

Please can’t you help me kneel one more time

Before I go to kneel before the throne

I’d dearly love to kneel just one more time

To thank and praise Him before I go home

They’d laugh dissuade him saying you’re too weak

It would be too hard, just pray in your bed

Til a new nurse stood by his bed one day

And it brought tears to her eyes as he said

CHORUS: (Repeat)

So tenderly she helped him to his knees

And tears of joy flowed freely down his face

Not long after he went home to glory

And he’s kneeling now in that heavenly place

CHORUS II:

It pleased her to help him kneel one last time

Before he went to kneel before the throne

At home that night she knelt for the first time

To thank God cause one day she’s going home

LET THE GLORYING BEGIN

Some may get down in the mouth when they’re past their prime

Because there isn’t much left to their sands of time

But not me, I’m going to be happy not glum

For I know that the glory days are yet to come

CHORUS:

When my time’s over LET THE GLORYING BEGIN

I’ll leave behind a world of suffering and sin

I’ll be free from this body I am living in

I’ll say, "I ain’t felt this good since I don’t know when"

Won’t be worrying ‘cause my time is coming soon

When it does I’ll be singing a brand new tune

I’ll be going to heaven land of no sorrows

And there I’ll be living in endless tomorrows

CHORUS: (Repeat)

BRIDGE:

I’ll be living in His presence up in heaven

I’ll be praising the Lord twenty-four and seven

CHORUS: (Repeat)

LET THE RAFTERS RING

Leave your troubles and burdens at the front door

Settle back, draw comfort from God’s holy word

We are going to do what we came here for

With one intent to worship and praise the Lord

CHORUS:

Let the rafters ring with praises to the King

Lift His name on high our King to glorify

Shake this holy place with psalms about His grace

Let joy fill your soul as the King you extol

Just take your mind off all those tiring loads

And get your heart fixed on Jesus Christ above

Who walks with you down all of life’s bumpy roads

He will bear you up with His unfailing love

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Focus on the King, not on all of life’s trials

For this scared time set your worries aside

Praise Him who leads you through all those weary miles

Lift your voice to Him and in his love abide

CHORUS: (Repeat)

LIVING STONES

Jesus is the living stone chosen as God’s anointed

Through the ages He’s been rejected by many

But those who believe are never disappointed

He’s the elect cornerstone, precious in God’s sight.

CHORUS I:

You rose, rose up, oh living stone to build God’s chosen race

Knowing You were of royal kingship, God’s own possession

You rose, rose up, oh living stone to proudly take your place

To call your people out of darkness to marvelous light

Christians don’t wear your faith like a funeral shroud

We are a nation called to build God’s spiritual house

For God forever be willing to stand tall and proud

Lifting your voice in spiritual sacrifice.

CHORUS II:

Rise up, rise up oh living stones to build God’s chosen race

Know you are a royal priesthood for God’s own possession

Rise up, rise up oh living stones to proudly take your place

Praise Him who called us out of darkness to marvelous light

We are a chosen people from the world set apart

We’re to be a holy nation acceptable to God

A people always seeking after God’s own heart

Eager to proclaim his great excellencies

MADE MY RESERVATION

Brother this old life is worth leaving

And I’m looking forward to the day

For in heaven there’ll be no grieving

We’ll be living in a diff’rent way

CHORUS:

Made my reservation years ago

I’ll check out to check in on high

I’ll leave this land of worry and woe

Gonna live with Jesus in the sky

I’ll leave this land of dying behind

For the land of living forever

Where every cloud is silver lined

There’ll be no tears of mourning never

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Heaven isn’t a happy ending

Brother it’s a wondrous beginning

Where to God’s worship we’ll be tending

A place with no sorrow or sinning

MIRACLE OF MIRACLES

Today the sound of a hammer rings down through time

For my Lord bore the burden that should have been mine

My sin drove each nail that held Him to that tree

A love like no other was shown at Calvary

CHORUS:

But miracle of miracles He rose again

Christ would not be defeated by the hand of sin

Hallelujah from death He was forever set free

To give me over sin resounding victory

To the world He was missing, gone without a trace

He was no longer in His final resting place

But He was not defeated, all was as God willed

The tomb was empty so that my heart could be filled

CHORUS I: (Repeat For...)

I am so humbled by what my Lord did for me

Cause for me He suffered and died at Calvary

His blood’s on my hands I’ll not let Him die in vain

I’ve taken Him to my heart to forever reign

CHORUS I: (Repeat For...)

MORNING PRAYER

Lord, You have given me another day

In which to serve You, my God and my King.

Please give to me this day Godly wisdom

Touching all I do, in everything.

CHORUS:

May all that people see in me today

Bring honour and glory, Lord, to Your name.

Guide my every thought and each action.

Let nothing that I may do bring You shame.

Help me to show Your sacrificial love

To anyone You send to pass my way.

Let me Your newest commandment, to love,

Never once forsake, but always obey.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

When I face those many situations

Satan devises to fill me with dread,

Let me not fear, but trust only in You,

and greet trials with complete peace instead.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Let nothing that I may do bring You shame.

MY LORD ROSE UP

Joseph of Arimathea went to Pilate to ask

Pleading for the body of the crucified Lord

Taking Jesus down they began the grim task

Laying Him in the tomb, the best the rich man could afford

CHORUS I:

Their tears flowed down but my Lord would rise up on Easter morn

The great stone barring the tomb would be rolled away

The grave could not hold Him though Jesus was battered and torn

He’d arise to keep the powers of sin at bay.

Nicodemus brought myrrh and aloes to anoint the king

As they bound cloth over the wounds the nails had made

Tears flowed for the one who meant more than anything

And the two man wondered if their sorrow would ever fade.

CHORUS I: (Repeat)

The grave clothes would be the last earthly thing he’d ever wear

Death hell itself couldn’t claim God’s risen Son

Because later they would seek and find Him no longer there

He rose from the grave and victory was forever won.

CHORUS II:

Their tears flowed down but my Lord rose up that first Easter morn

The great stone barring the tomb was rolled away

The grave could not hold Him though Jesus was battered and torn

He arose to keep the powers of sin at bay

Their tears flowed down but my Lord rose up that first Easter morn

NO BONES ABOUT IT

Oh Lord, my Lord I know it is nothing new

Unbelievers trying to discredit You

Thinking if they can find the right lies to say

My faith in You will up and crumble away

CHORUS I:

Without a doubt, I make NO BONES ABOUT IT

I believe and I am going to shout it

I am going to stand up and testify

I will sing Your praises til the day I die

And beyond

Lord my faith in You they will never corrupt

For there is nothing they can ever dig up

That will give me pause or shake my faith in You

For I know You rose again to life anew

CHORUS I: (Repeat)

Lord there is nothing they can ever unearth

That’ll make me want to question Your virgin birth

My faith rests in things unbelievers can’t see

Lord take the scales from their eyes and set them free

CHORUS II:

Without a doubt, I make NO BONES ABOUT IT

I believe and I am going to shout it

I am going to stand up and testify

I will sing Your praises til the day I die

I make no bones about it. I believe

NOT JUST A LITTLE LACE

I know I oft’ fall short of what you want me to be

Lord please help me when I’m more human than holy

Only with your loving help am I able to stand

Give me a heart for You that is humble and lowly

CHORUS:

I want You to be the very fabric of my life

Not just a little lace that goes around its edges

Let Your will be woven through everything I do

Only by Your grace can I keep my sacred pledges

Don’t let me be stiff-necked and want to set my own course

Let me not be one of those people who will not hear

Jesus although You have given me your wondrous love

May you teach me fully to love and also to fear

CHORUS: (Repeat)

I know I live in a sinful world that has fallen

So Saviour help me to not just fall in with the world

Lord help me to stand steadfast and ever true to You

No matter what sly tricks at me by Satan are hurled.

NOT ON MY TERMS

I’ve bent God’s will to my own,

Tried hard to serve Him by my rules.

I’ve flirted in the shadows alone

As I claimed to walk in the light.

I didn’t listen to His voice

When God was saying to me...

CHORUS 1:

Not on your terms, but on your knees–

Just surrender your life to me.

I, your Lord, only must you please–

Not on your terms, but on your knees.

I have spin doctored God’s pure word

Ignoring the Holy Spirit,

Never letting His voice be heard

Above all my own desires.

I didn’t listen to His voice

When God was saying to me...

CHORUS 1: (Repeat)

It took years but I’ve finally found

I must be what God wants me to be.

It’s not the other way around.

God is God of my life, not me.

Now I’ve heard His voice loud and clear

And I gladly serve Him each day...

CHORUS 2:

Not on my terms, but on my knees

I surrender my life to You.

You, my Lord, only will I please–

Not on my terms, but on my knees.

You, my Lord, only will I please–

Not on my terms, but on my knees.

OH, HOW THE ANGELS SANG!

There was a celebration up in glory

As the angels announced the Christmas story.

God unfolded His salvation plan for man

And it was heralded by an angel band.

CHORUS:

Oh, how the angels sang that first Christmas morn

When God almighty as a baby was born.

There was no sweeter sound ever heard on earth

Than the one that heralded our dear Saviour’s birth.

Even the very heavens above rejoiced.

Adoring praises to God the angels voiced

As joy filled each angelic, heavenly heart

And God His love for all mankind did impart.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Heaven shone with glory befitting the king.

The angel choruses sang good tidings to bring.

And each angelic face wore a peaceful glow

As they announced Christ’s birth to the earth below.

ON THAT DAY

It’s true into ev’ry life a little rain must fall

But sometimes it can be hard to rise above it all

So when it feels like there’s no other place left to turn

Look skyward for we have the hope of Jesus’ return

CHORUS

On that day He is going to steal this world’s thunder

On that day all of mankind will look up in wonder

On that day He will be coming back to claim His own

On that day He’ll come to take his children home

God is in the midst of ev’ry storm to see you through

There is nothing that’s impossible for Him to do

All we endure on earth is but a temporal thing

Marking time until clouds descend to return our king

CHORUS: (Repeat)

When it seems like your life is forever filled with rain

Remember when the storm clouds are moving in again

It was a cloud that final day that took Him away

And in clouds of glory He’ll come back for us someday

ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE

The life I am living here

Has it’s ups and has it’s downs

But I am not discouraged

‘Cause one day I’ll wear a crown

CHORUS:

When I’ve got One foot in the grave

The other’s standing on gold

Going to that land

Where I’ll never grow old

Where I’ll live the truth

The gospel has told

When I’ve got one foot in the grave

The other’s standing on gold

It makes no diff’rence to me

If I should go when I’m young

When they lay me in the grave

Just let songs of joy be sung

Since I know where I am bound

When I face those golden years

Though there may be aches and pains

I will face them with no fears

ONE OF THESE DAYS

Now, this old life has its worries and its woes.

How we make it through sometimes, only God knows.

But I never let my worries drag me down.

Here’s why I wear a smile, not a frown.

CHORUS:

One of these days He’s coming back for me.

One of these days with Him in glory I’ll be.

One of these days Jesus will take me home.

One of these days I’ll sing praises ‘round His throne.

Seems like there’s barely enough to pay the rent.

Before I can get it, my pay cheque is spent,

But I never let things bother me at all

‘Cause when that trumpet sounds I’ll answer the call.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Don’t care if I have a dollar to my name

‘Cause in my heart for Jesus there burns a flame.

That’s why you’ll see me grinning from ear to ear.

‘Cause my voice singing with angels I’m gonna hear.

THE POWER BEHIND ME

Everywhere I look trouble’s all around me

Rushing in at me from the left and the right

He just won’t let up, Satan’s got to hound me

But I know I’m not alone in this dog fight

CHORUS:

There’s nothing, no not a thing, ahead of me

That can stand up to THE POWER BEHIND ME

For I serve the risen one of Calvary

And He alone will have final victory

Others ask me why I don’t fear and tremble

When Satan is banging so hard at my door

I believe in mighty God of the Bible

I know I’m not in this alone any more

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Cradle to grave God’s been watching this child

He’s been keeping me safe each step of the way

I know He’s there when the battle rages wild

He will see me through each and every fray

RAPTURE READY

Many years ago I had an eternal change of heart

Jesus made me the deal of an everlasting lifetime

Since that day I have been looking heavenward for a sign

I’ve been waiting for the day when the rapture will start

CHORUS:

I want what’s up there more than anything here below

I want to spend my days giving God worship and praise

I’m saved up, cleaned up, prayed up, ready to fly up

I am ready, rapture ready, rapture ready to go

Down here in this sin-stained world my life’s all up in the air

And I’m longing for that house eternal not made by hands

Where I can praise Him, sing forever in those holy lands

Where I will never again fret over an earthly care

CHORUS: (Repeat)

I know that one day He is coming back out of the blue

I’m half way to the sky already with the joy that brings

There I’ll forever praise Jesus, Lord of Lords, King of Kings

When I’m in residence, at home on Glory Avenue

RIGHT OUT IN THE OPEN

God doesn’t want lukewarm, half-hearted people.

He demands a burning, committed, whole heart,

For if you are only casually playing church,

On that final day he’ll say, "From me depart."

CHORUS:

You can’t be Jesus’s secret admirer.

You have to love Him right out in the open.

Our faith is under the blood, not under the rug

So show the whole world in Jesus you’re hopin’.

It’s time Christians dug the world out of their ears

And really started to listen to God’s word.

If we weren’t busy dancing to the world’s tune,

Maybe God’s spirit in our hearts would be stirred.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

We chuckle at sin and find it amusing,

When, as Christians, we should find it repulsive.

We’re to be set apart to be holy so

Giving the devil his due is no way to live.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

So show the whole world in Jesus you’re hopin’.

THE ROAD TO BETHLEHEM

They’d come far, Joseph and his young wife.

Though their bodes were tired and travel-worn,

Their eyes shone with joy, for she carried new life.

How could they know where this road would lead?

CHORUS:

The road to Bethlehem led to Calvary.

Jesus was born in the shadow of the cross.

My Lord was destined to die upon that tree.

His precious blood would pay all of sin’s dear cost.

The hour was late and Mary was weary.

They looked for a vacant room but there was none

Except for a stable so damp and dreary.

How could they know where this road would lead?

CHORUS: (Repeat)

How could they know this road would lead to my heart,

That the child born would one day die for me?

From these beginnings the Saviour got His start.

The road to Bethlehem led to Calvary.

SEPARATED FROM THE FATHER

Christ prayed, "Let this cup pass from me"

But knew He was the chosen one.

He must accept what was to come–

Simply saying, "Thy will be done."

CHORUS:

He would cry out, "My God! My God!"

Why have You forsaken me?"

He was separated from the Father

So I would never have to be.

He was betrayed, abused and tried,

Condemned to die on a hill.

All this He endured for me

Obeying His father’s will.

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Knowing the separation to come,

The cross was not Christ’s agony

As His precious blood was shed

By nails holding Him to the tree.

CHORUS: (Repeat with As He cried...)

SOLD!

Everyday souls are on the auction block.

"What am I bid?" asks the auctioneer’s gavel

As Satan tries to purchase us for his own

And we choose which of two roads we will travel.

CHORUS:

Jesus says, "I’ve paid with my blood, nail-scared hands,

A pierced side, a heart that for you was broken.

There’s no other payment that is sufficient.

Any other offer is just a token."

Then the slick, smoking man at the back calls out

"I’ll offer you a life of worldly treasures.

I’ll even throw in some power and prestige.

I’ll fulfill each one of your earthly pleasures."

CHORUS: (Repeat)

Sold! The auctioneer’s voice rings out loud and clear.

It’s time to choose which one has purchased your soul.

Will you choose to serve the one smelling of smoke

Or will it be the nail-scared hand that you hold?

Sold! The auctioneer’s voice rings out loud and clear.

A STAR ROSE IN THE EAST

For generations the earth shook at God’s mighty command

Then for hundreds of years there was silence, no word to man

Till God sent an angel to speak to a humble virgin

As a baby’s soft cry, God’s voice would be heard once again

Because fallen man had a sin debt he could not repay

This tender child was born to die for us another day

CHORUS:

A STAR ROSE IN THE EAST, so a cross could rise on a hill

He was born, the final spotless lamb they’d need to kill

The Son of God most holy came to a place oh so lowly

To grow to be sacrificed, to die most slowly

Because in all the world of man there was for Him no room

God laid in a manger, to one day lie in a tomb

(Spoken:)

To man in hundreds of years God had not once spoken

With a tiny infant’s murmurs the silence was broken

Across countless ages God’s still small voice can still be heard

By those willing to believe, those who listen to His word

Down through the centuries, today He is still calling you

He’s waiting for an answer now. Will you hear His voice too?

CHORUS: (Repeat)
